Bank story from Saturday from another site: (not mine)
I thought you would like to hear what happened to me in a Central Texas Wells Fargo this past week. I went in on Monday and thought I would use the cash I had at the house to buy Dong. I bought 2 mil the first trip and then got home and thought what was I thinking I should have gotten more.
I go back Tuesday and buy more. At this point I notice that a technician is working on something at the teller window that looked like a 2 ft. x 3 ft. flat screen. The teller told me that it was going to be a display of all the currency that they sell!
My curiosity was immediately piqued because they are just a bank and we are in the middle of Texas not a border town with a need to exchange a lot of currencies. At this point I decide I will make an order that was significant, they of course don't have that much and I am told they would have to order it in and it would take two days.
I was adamant that they honor the price at the time because I thought it could happen any minute. They called me on Friday and said it was in and I went down there to pick it up. When I got there, the teller asked me with a little grin on her face if I planned on keeping it long!
What was really great was what happened next. She looked at her screen and said she wasn't sure what to charge me and called her manager over to confirm. Right in front of me she asked her if I paid the price they paid or the CONTRACT RATE!! They wouldn't have known that if they didn't already have it at the tellers.
The teller next to her said he would watch her like a hawk while she counted it out and he did. When have you ever seen a teller watch another count money?! The final clue was when I told her if she thought the Dong was interesting she should see the Dinar because it had all kinds of anti-counterfeiting features and she said "I bet it does, especially now"!!
As I finished up, the teller next to her said "well, now you are a millionaire!". They both just barely kept what they must have been told that morning.
Fuze: Thanks for the story! I believe you. I was in a WF last week also and they had installed a new digital board featuring currencies. Traditionally there are not a lot of international travelers from my Lil town either!! Welcome RV FUZE
