FOR THE SHIA, THE EID AL FITR WILL END THURSDAY AT MIDNIGHT. FOR THE SUNNI, THE HOLIDAY ENDS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT, SO IT JUST ENDED FOR THEM.
URGENT FROM IRAQIA TV: IRAQI PRES WILL ASK MALIKI TO FORM THE GOV AFTER THE HOLIDAY.
MALIKI GOT IT AGAIN AS WE SAID ON THE CC FOR THE LAST 7 MONTH.
Oh Shiite ............ DELTA .... IMO ..... This is monstourously big!
This is a calculated move !
IMO ...... CBI will NOT WASTE A SECOND IF M DOES NOT EITHER.
Oh my goodness....... How did this happen so soon from just last night ?
U realize they could wrap this puppy all up before new file!!!
Pressures must have had many other factors.
OH MY. KTFA, Frank.......THIS IS too SooN.
Hi Delta, That is very good news. You don't think Maliki, if Iraqi T.V. is accurate about is Presidency, will play the same game he did before proxying himself with all the positions like security etc. and prolonging the formation of the gov't? Thanx Delta.
FAMILY YOU ARE MISSING A BIG POINT. LAST ELECTION WAS HARD CUZ ALAWI WAS VERY CLOSE IN VOTES TO MALIKI THAT'S WHY IT WAS A PROBLEM AT THAT TIME, BUT THIS ELECTION STATE LAW HAS 103 SEATS AND THAT'S MAKE THEM THE LARGEST GROUP, THE NEXT WINNER HAS ONLY 30 SEATS. THE IRAQI COURT ANNONCED THAT STATE LAW IS THE LARGEST GROUP. SO THEIR LEADER WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORM THE GOV . DELTA
Well lets say that Maliki is the PM. It isnt much of a unity govt if StateLaw has both the PM and the 1st Deputy of Parliament. They have gained power- not given it up.
BINGO...... BIG POWER FOR STATE LAW. LAWS WILL GET PASS VERY FAST

I also said for months he (Maliki) will be a liaison.
Maliki is similar to Saddam in his early days when he was our dictator. As soon as he grew testes we clipped them.
When I was over there during dessert shield people asked why did we not take him out and the response is our dictator needed a spanking and we were only protecting the oil.
You will see him "pick" the new PM like it was all his making so he walks off the stage a hero to the Iraqis and the Iranians.

So is this basically just for show, then? I can imagine it part of Maliki's deal-making -- make him look good as he leaves.

Everything is already decided. What you will see going forward is the dog & pony show. And in order to win sometimes you make the bad guy look like the hero

Tony and DC have said recently that they expect Maliki to remain involved in the GOI in some sort of advisory capacity, but wouldn't be PM. Much like former U.S. Presidents continue to play an advisory roll long after they have left office. If this helps speed up the RV, then so be it. Also note that Delta has been saying for along time that the CBI not concerned with the GOI and they are only looking for who will be PM, then they will pull the trigger.

Exo said we will be shocked who the next PM is. He must know something. All I care is just get this guy seated.
[BigDog-OH] UK to hit bad bankers with bonus clawbacks http://www.cnbc.com/id/101878195
[Bear'sOpenHeart] BigDog-OH Good article on clawbacks.. A good first step before having to do what Iceland did..
[kathyms3] Did anybody read Delta on Recaps that Maliki got the PM again?
[hoot2602] Delta's message doesn't say that M will be PM. It says he will form the govt. I think they are doing a courtesy and letting him announce who the new PM will be.
[Bear'sOpenHeart] I really don't believe that was meant to mean Maliki was in as PM ,but that he made it thru the 7 month .. The 7 being a number of numberlogical significance.. Because then it goes on to say that they then need to seat the Gov't and pass the laws needed.. To which Delta replies "No Laws are needed for the RV". CBI is Ready .. All we need is the Announcement..
[pursuitoftruth] I can't even imagine the Iraqi people doing that to themselves after the disaster of the last 8 years, but hey, it could happen here as we have seen.
[gramps77] I think I may have figured it out. The Maliki being asked to form a government TV announcement is the China/Kuwait “misdirection” play to keep the ‘big boy’ speculators at bay. If so, it seems we are about to have a RV!!
[abbababy] gramps77 Wow wouldn't that be just great to see the RV today? Praying it happens by the end of this week. God Bless all & Be Bless everyone. Amen BBL
[iamsoready] Well looks like someone is dealing us a hand about MALIKI.... For every article that says he will resign you can find one that say he WON'T... So i guess we wait for the bluff to be called and we will see who's standing at the END... Always excitement in dinar LAND.......
[hopeful2&2] on fox news , folks on there are saying maliki is still in charge
[.MikeH] 7-30-2014 Stryker BREAKING NEWS: "Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki steps down today because of political pressure!" That's is what is coming out of Iraq via seven (7) articles so far already in the last hour but earlier today his State Law Party denied he was doing so. What makes me lean to it being fact is that the State Law Coalition stated that they have nominated two candidates for the PM position; al-Jaafari and al-Shahristani This move would be an attempt to diminish the votes away from the New Coalition that makes up the New National Coalition to try to keep their party in power. ...I have just heard that they are getting close in announcing a single candidate and soon!
[jgrines] so one says TV says Pres asked him to form govt other says steps down in 7 articles ...misinformation to the max
[BOBRT] .MikeH smoke indeed!!
Big News - Maliki lost 22 votes from within his own SLC... - they just moved to the Sadr/Hakim side...not to mention Sharistani's bunch. If this holds true - he's DONE!!
THE BEST PART ABOUT THE PM NOMINATION IS THAT THE PRESIDENT OF IRAQ CAN CHOOSE FROM THE LARGEST GROUP PER THE CONSTITUTION SO NOT WORRIED HERE WITH ALL THE MOVEMENTS WE HAVE SEEN.
MALIKI`S PARTY IS NOT THE LARGEST AND HE WILL NOT BE CHOSEN...THAT IS GREAT NEWS TO ME
