Saturday Morning News Summaries
Parliamentary Committee expects the temporary adoption of the budget within two weeks
This is a test of the Iraqi political network, can they actually get something accomplished in two weeks, even something temporary.....this is a test....had it been the real deal....you would have been advised where to tune....how can they project something that has yet to be presented.....two weeks to approve a budget that has been floundering for over 8 months....keep breathing please.
Maliki .. fails to obtain the confidence of the House of Representatives!
The Parliament is sure hanging much of their bets on the new President of the Republic doing what will be right for Iraq.....denying any agreement with SOL.....they appear to continue to look for a "national government" one of unity.....something that they don't believe Maliki is capable of doing.....but maybe M has changed his ways....
....
maybe he will put in a government that is equally divided by the Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds, maybe even a sprinkling of other parties as well and then manage to get the required votes in Parliament.....but after gaining approval he puts his boot in those who are not followers of his and out they go...again......wow I think I just woke up from a dream-nightmare.
Kurds: Talabani will not support "the third term"
Just saying here, what Talabani speaks makes for some good mojo.....no one supports or likes Maliki, well ok the SOL thugs that voted for him the first and the second time seem to have bought blinders from a western country....the National Alliance meanwhile continue to hold their cards close to their chest....an amazing Iraqi feat I know.....and the other next largest blocs continue to verbally voice their disapproval of M as anything above garbage collector.
In the first test of his mandate Maliki's coalition puts infallible in front of a confrontation with the Kurds
The new Iraqi buzz word for August is "infallible"....have you noticed.....Maliki and thugs are "urging" Massoum to instruct the Kurds to hand over the arms that Maliki's cowardly lions left in the streets when they abandoned various parts of Iraq that the Peshmerga were quickly able to regain control before the terrorists could step in and confiscate the arms.....but since the terrorists didn't get the equipment....Maliki thinks the Peshmerga should just hand over the equipment to new bodies of the Iraqi army....wake up fool....you have failed, your army has failed....it was the Kurds who took care of business in their neck of the woods....don't go bringing your "army of protection" back where we got it covered....the outcome might not be pretty.
Sistani suggests again for the owners to step down
The religious version of EF Hutton in Iraq has spoken and continues to state that Maliki and clan should step down....they have failed for 8 years to bring unity to Iraq....today there remains conflict between Baghdad and Kurdistan, between Baghdad and the other provinces, between Baghdad and how the Constitution is to be interpreted and used, between Baghdad and Parliament....beginning to catch onto a common denominator here....oh I forgot the constant...Maliki....Baghdad = Maliki and this equals inequality towards all others.
The Presidency's (et) over a proposal to resolve the budget
So much talk about budget ideas for 2014....but the temporary committee hasn't even surfaced yet.....a Parliament member is suggesting listening to the current Parliament as well as those of the previous who defeated themselves by not getting the job done...you want to listen to the losers....oh say it isn't so.....those clowns, yes a few remain in the new Parliament, but they have hopefully had their clown status stripped from them.....pull up your big girl panties and make some tough decisions....on your own.....You are "it" now....show the people you were worthy of their votes....don't get bit by stupid this quickly into the game.
Legal Expert: Parliament determines the admissibility of the candidate for prime minister and not the President of the Republic
Keep in mind this is some paid legal hack.....a talking head if you will....that is receiving money from someone to spew forth "opinion" that just happens to coincide with that "someones" ideology....not much different than the hacks that our own US media hire to supposedly lend "weight" to their news stories.....show me the beef....not some paid opinion....show me the end results....who will be PM.....that is all we want to know.
In front of the parliament, "66" material constitutional amendments need .. and the absence of consensus topple the ambition of the Commission to reconsider the Constitution
From the previous two Parliament "sessions" dating between 2006 and 2014...there are at least 66 amendments awaiting action regarding the Iraqi Constitution....we will see if this new session has brought enough new blood on board to make significant inroads to these amendments and just how receptive the members of Parliament will be to said change suggestions.....
they need to focus on the PM thing first....the budget at the same time....
then assign a committee to look at these amendments....
keep the priorities start....no more midnights at the oasis.
Well here are some tidbits for this morning.
