I come to you today to give you a recent update on the election process and how this relates towards the international rollout of the IQD for Iraq.
Note: If you have not read my previous news letter from Wednesday 8/6 (LINK), I encourage you to first read it. Today's news letter, as in all my news letters, is a continuation of the ongoing saga of the IQD RV process.
I need to reinforce everyone to hang tight and not sell you IQD. We will be exchanging at the banks with the new revalued rate shortly. I am going to now tell you why I believe this to be true.
Today is Friday 08/08 and so did Iraq meet their constitutional deadline to announce a candidate for prime minister? Now when I say this exactly what do I mean. Since many are confused by this statement I will first explain then tell you the current news for this week.
What I mean is that only “majority bloc”, sanctioned by the courts, will supply the candidate to the new president and he will submit his name to parliament for the final confidence vote. Some still believe there is no vote necessary in parliament. This is not true. Go back and reread the constitution again.
The parliament will decide by a confidence vote whether the candidate should be seated as the new prime minister. It should be more of formality at this point since the president therefore wants to be darn sure that the candidate will be accepted by the half plus one of the total members of parliament before even submitting his name. That is half of 325 plus 1 equals 164 votes needed.
Remember how Fuad Masum threatened to resign last week if he was forced to submit Maliki as this candidate. He, like many others want no part of his man and will block his 3rd term any way they can. You must read these articles and take them seriously they are important. People say things for a reason.
So, as I stated in my last news letter, there was a delay in announcing the candidate until Thursday which was yesterday. This delay was to allow time to go back to the supreme court for a hearing on the topic of who is the majority bloc.
I am hear to tell you now the hearing was conducted and it was a brief one. The courts referred back to the 2010 decision once again and said their decision back then is final and it will not waive. By applying the decision the National Alliance is the overwhelming majority boc and so has the power to form the new government and thus sub the candidate to the president to forward to the name parliament.
Having this news now convinced members of the Dawa party State Law coalition to no longer put Maliki as their candidate. This was a very positive sign for us yesterday. This is what we all was wanted. So it now does not matter what Maliki demands or wants. His own party now no longer supports him.
After this news was announced and spread through parliament along with the news there was an outburst by Maliki as he demanded justice and yelled that he and only his party will form the new government and he will be the candidate for prime minister.
Those that told me about this event and about this outburst said the man looked like he was delusional and about to have a nervous breakdown. All I could think about is how history books tell the story of Hitler and how he responded the news that his army was losing the battle of Stalingrad.
He also suddenly became delusional and about to have a nervous breakdown. He knew for the first time the war has finally turned against him and his armies were no longer unbeatable.
He knew then that if he lost Russian his Nazism and domination was just a matter of time before it would eventually crumble. It was the beginning of the end. This week we are witnessing this now with Maliki and his final, last desperate attempts to regain a 3rd term. The end is here.
So Thursday’s session ended briefly without the National Alliance resolving the candidate for Prime Minister. But the session only ended briefly before the speaker Jubouri recalled them all back in and declared he wanted a candidate by 11 pm (Iraq time) and they would meet their constitutional deadline.
Just before this directive was given by the speaker, the National Alliance had submitted an application to the President of the Republic Fuad Masum, to extend the term of choosing the new prime minister until next Sunday.
I whole heartedly believe they did submit a candidate to the president yesterday and met the 11 pm imposed deadline by the speaker. They did meet their constitutional deadline.
So where is the announcement to us then?
I want to also clarify a misunderstanding in this regard too. There is no constitutional requirement for them to announce globally their candidate for prime minister. This formal announcement requirement only comes once he is seated and has taken his oath. S
o it is up the news media to carry the news from the east to the west. Do you remember who still controls the largest news media channels in Iraq? It is Maliki. Go figure why we have not yet heard of yesterdays candidate.
Now the president has until the end of today Friday 8/8 to send the name to parliament and they must approve (or vote in the council of representatives a confidence level of this candidate) If they get a majority of members to vote confidently on this candidate he will then take the oath and get his mandate as the third prime minister of Iraq.
This most likely will not happen today since it is Friday, their holy day. I however expect by Sunday we will be hearing the news they have a new prime minister. Do you know what this means?
Why am I being so positive?
I also know that, as I have said many times, when the USA begins stepping up operations to assist in the issues with the militants ISIS, we are very close to getting the government fully seated and our RV.
Remember I said there are indicators you can look for as signs of what else is going on in Iraq.
The USA was using their requirement to get a non-sectarian government in place prior to fully supporting this effort. Yesterday over 4,000 USA troops are reported now in Baghdad and US air strikes against their logistical lines began as they come across from the Syrian boarder. They also needed to defend the USA troops on the ground. This news was also in CNN yesterday.
Yes – contrary to popular belief to the news media there are now USA troops on the ground in Iraq. They have been there for quite some time. They are still calling them “advisors”. They are necessary and they will now gear up for full operations to swiftly regain Iraq and deal with ISIS.
Why has the USA waited so long?
The USA efforts now are stepping up to fight the militants because they now know that the forming of the Iraq government has turned a milestone and has selected their final candidate for prime minister. They know he will very shortly be seated. They know the council of ministers is also all selected. They are darn sure Maliki is out.
So today’s news is all very good news as it has turned for the better in a couple days. I believed that once they had a final court ruling on who was the majority party things would begin to move quickly in the last stages of forming this new government. The glass is more than half full now….lol….
So the clock continues to tick. As we know Friday 8/8 today is the official constitutional deadline to seat the new prime minister (not to announce to the president, that was yesterday).
We can now see that the USA could not wait any longer to give full military support against the militants and is now taking action since they has the necessary milestone this week they needed for their go ahead. Surely they will not allow this country to become a haven for terrorists and will follow ISIS into Syria is needed.
Anther tidbit of excellent news is that we also know other “free” middle eastern countries are now stepping up their efforts and forming an international coalition against these sadistic, evil, terrorist organizations. We wait to see more success.
They have been waiting for the USA to see the light with Maliki and its puppet dictatorship for Iran.
They have been waiting for the Iraq leaders too to make a difference and form their new non-sectarian government. Iraq is now going to lead this new terrorist coalition as they will secure their boarders and implement regional security forces to protect each province rather than to solely rely again on the centralize government to provide.
The failures of the Maliki GOI has proven this is necessary. This is much like the USA has done with the National Guard concept where each state has is own militia partly funded by the state and partly by the federal government. It can then be combined and activated to support state, local or national emergencies as well as international war.
Like I said in many previous news letters, once the USA begins operations in Iraq against the militants it will be swift and quick.
Also remember there is looming Iraq budget that desperately needs to be opened and spent. They need to vote and seat this new prime minister and do it quickly.
When can we expect the RV?
All I will say on this subject matter is to go back and re-read my 8/6 news letter and then re-read this news letter. It should be very apparent what is going on and how close we really are to the RV rollout.
I want to emphasize once again this final announcement of the IQD going international will not happen until the USA feels the Iraq government is stable, non-sectarian and is a functional government.
This is has been the plan all along. They may have wavered a bit on how the plan was implemented but the overall plan guidelines have not changed.
