The Kogi, Wiwa and Arahuaco are some of the most incredible peoples on earth. When they do ceremony and get killed, something is amiss and you can bet the indigenous world is taking serious note of this sad event:
There are many things things that do not make sense to modern man or the techno-cultures of the world. One of them is the wisdom of ancient indigenous cultures. Yet time and again their knowledge of man, nature and the Reality is proven more and more each year as technology advances.
The Kogi, Wiwa and Arahuaco peoples of Columbia have maintained steadfastly that they have and are keeping the balance of life on Mother Earth.
When a culture purposely chooses not to assimilate into the dominating culture and maintain their traditions that survived from antiquity, what survives unto the modern day is a vast knowledge, forgotten or unknown to modern society. One of their abilities to is to speak and communicate to and with Mother Earth which they know is not a rock in space, but a sentient being and the provider and nurturer of all we have and all we are.
Therefore, when a culture with such knowledge says we are in danger of destroying ourselves imminently, it is based on an unbroken connection to the planet and millennia of experience.
What does it portend when such a tragedy strikes a people, during a sacred ceremony no less, for the future of earth? A cynic will say it portends nothing, just a random event by superstitious indians. But anyone who knows prayer, shamanic practices, who knows Nature and Her signs
will be very concerned by this news.
Despite the ominous and serious articles here at RMN that illustrate the problems we face at this present time, the solution to our transcendence of them will be spiritual in nature. We would all be wise to listen to our Elder Brothers and Sisters. They know far far more that we have given them credit for.
Whatever is your spiritual background, please say a prayer for the earth and all life upon it. As momentum changes back to the people, we need to rise to occasion of ourselves.
Here is the first documentary that revealed the Kogi/Wiwa to the world:
