The mysterious appearance of two large white flags flying over the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City this morning had everyone from city officials to regular New Yorkers scratching their heads.
White flags, which are symbols of surrender, flew from poles on the stone supports atop the famed bridge that connects Brooklyn and Manhattan over the East River.
The New York City Police Department responded to the scene and is investigating the matter.
