Scientists and security services are investigating the cause of a huge explosion that occurred last week in the skies above the Urals, more precisely in the Russian region of Sverdlovsk.
Photo of explosions appeared on Youtube under the name 'Chelyabinsk # 2', referring to the explosion of a meteor in the southern part of the Urals in February last year.
Meanwhile, sources in the Russian army, say that at that time they did not perform any testing of weapons, considering that some thought that it was about that.
- No exercises wewre held that day. Not military unit was located in that region, so we had nothing to do with it - said the military press service.
Viktor Grokhovsky, a member of the meteors research at the Russian Academy of Sciences has described what it could be.
- It looks like a comet (very brilliant meteor). It lit up the whole sky - said Grokhovsky.
Unlike him, one expert told the Ekburg.tv that flash was lot brighter than the one seen on video, adding that he thinks it was a missile blast.
