That was the assessment of an article I read recently by Floyd Brown writing for the Wall Street Daily. Actually his piece was entitled, “The Problem With Foreign Policy”. America and Russia are still pointing fingers at each other. Each one is blaming the other for the turmoil in the Ukraine. Each side is blaming the other for the downed Malaysian airliner.
I would agree with his article that Obama is doing his best to trigger WWIII. That is why he was chosen to be president for this time period. You didn’t really think that was left to chance for us, the uneducated and unwashed masses voting a president in, did you? We can’t be trusted with an important decision like that.
Brown makes the point that the rebels don’t have the sophistication to fire a missile like that. Why not? Only Russia has that capability? Doesn’t America also have that capability? Can’t Russia train their chosen rebels to work with Russian built weapons just like we train our chosen rebels to do?
The problem, as I see it is that we don’t speak the same language. It’s kind of like “Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus”. That was the point of a book published I think in the sixties called, “The Ugly American.” We expect other cultures to think the same way that we do and it gets us into trouble and causes all kinds of problems.
The Founding Fathers had it right. Stay free of foreign entanglements. That seems pretty straightforward to me. Let each nation maintain their sovereignty and choose who they will do business with. That is the way to achieve world peace. Not threatening each other with bigger guns.
