You believe in the Constitution, salute the flag, belong to a militia, go to alternative news sites, believe you are a sovereign citizen. I think I’m in trouble. Guilty of all the above. And Mr. FBI man, as well as the Southern Poverty Law Center, how dare you group me in with white supremacists or any racist organization. You wouldn’t know a true patriot if one jumped up and bit you on the a**. How did things become so upside down that Homeland Security and the FBI consider militia members as more dangerous than Islamic terrorists?
Maybe it’s because we are real as opposed to your phony Al Qaeda. How many of the so-called foiled terrorist plots since 9/11 have had your fingerprints all over them? Yet all you have accomplished are slower lines at the airports and ticked off travelers.
Police are being advised to watch out for anyone displaying Ron Paul bumper stickers or patriotic slogans such as, “Don’t Tread On Me” on their vehicles. Excuse me, but how is that any different than the IRS targeting conservative groups for harassment? So, unless we are on the right side…or in this case, the left side, of any political issue, we’re potentially dangerous?
Does anyone else besides me find that chilling? Homeland Security and other agencies are preparing for all out war on the streets of America. Obama has signed the National Defense Authorization Act, as well as the UN small arms treaty and then the government tells law enforcement agencies that patriotic American citizens are more dangerous than Islamic terrorists? If even the staunchest Obama supporter can’t see where this is headed, they should be officially declared brain-dead. However, if you try to destroy our country, we will be dangerous. Count on it.
My favorite part of the article was the last paragraph where it was stated that during the 2008 presidential election Obama’s camp asked Missouri law enforcement to “target anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad.” Missouri may go down as the first state to have run all the politicians off if they outlaw lies. And this was promoted by two lawyers who should have known better – or don’t you have to study the United States Constitution anymore before you ‘go before the bar’? Why is it that these idiots usually come from large cities? Country people have better sense.
In 2009 Missouri, or more correctly, the Missouri Information Analysis Center put out a notice called, “The Modern Militia Movement”. Apparently the BLM didn’t read it or they wouldn’t have shown up at the Bundy ranch, throwing their weight around and trampling all over the Bill of Rights.
Just to point out how brilliant the FBI are (and I used to think so) consider how they refer to sovereign citizens as ‘comprising a domestic terrorist movement’. Everyone who lives in America legally or is an American citizen is a sovereign citizen. There isn’t any movement or organization to it. And not all sovereign citizens belong to militia groups. (I only wish)
So, the obvious answer to this growing domestic terrorism is for all law enforcement, including alphabet agency goons to encourage neighbors, friends, family, including children to spy on these dangerous felons. If you catch them waving a flag or supporting anyone other than the ‘approved’ two party candidates, turn them in. They might be a terrorist. And if they aren’t, they can be painted as such.
Let me end by quoting from my favorite Missourian who later moved to Connecticut:
“My kind of loyalty was loyalty to one’s country, not to its institutions or its office holders. The country is the real thing, the substantial thing, the eternal thing; it is the thing to watch over, and care for, and be loyal to; institutions are extraneous, they are its mere clothing, and clothing can wear out, become ragged, cease to be comfortable, and cease to protect the body from winter, disease and death. To be loyal to rags, to shout for rags, to worship rags, to die for rags – that is a loyalty of unreason, it is pure animal; it belongs to monarchy, was invented by monarchy; let monarchy keep it. I was from Connecticut, whose Constitution declares “That all political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on the people’s authority and instituted for their benefit; and that they have at all times an undeniable and indefeasible right to alter their form of government in such a manner as they may think expedient.” Mark Twain
